Maine has many contractors that do good stone work. We're lousy with granite here so that's a good thing. However, like all art forms there are a few practitioners that stand at the pinnacle of their profession. "Freshwater Stone" in Orland, Maine is one of the very best stone contractors in the state. Recently they did a job for Taylor Allen, owner of "Rockport Marine", that included not only an exterior wall and patio but a fireplace as well. Taylor's house is still under construction so I can't show you the fireplace but I took this quick photo of his wall the other day.
